چکیده

In this work, we consider an environment formed by incoherent photons as a resource for controlling open quantum systems via control. We exploit coherent control in the Hamiltonian and dissipator which induces time-dependent decoherence rates γk(t) (via spectral density of photons) generation single-qubit gates two-level system evolves according to Gorini–Kossakowski–Sudarshan–Lindblad (GKSL) master equation with coefficients determined these controls. The problem is formulated minimization objective functional, sum Hilbert-Schmidt norms between four fixed basis states evolved under GKSL controls same ideal gate transformation. exact expression gradient functional respect piecewise constant obtained. Subsequent optimization performed using type algorithm adaptive step size that leads oscillating behaviour norm vs. iterations. Optimal trajectories Bloch ball various initial are computed. A relation on complex Stiefel manifolds discussed. develop methodology apply it here unitary testing example. next method non-unitary processes multi-level systems.

Coherent Control of Quantum Entropy via Quantum Interference in a Four-Level Atomic System

The time evaluation of quantum entropy in a four-level double- type atomic system is theoretically investigated. Quantum entanglement of the atom and its spontaneous emission fields is then discussed via quantum entropy. It is found that the degree of entanglement can be increased by the quantum interference induced by spontaneous emission. The phase dependence of the atom-field entanglement is...

Coherent and incoherent quantum stochastic resonance.

We study quantum stochastic resonance (QSR) in the periodically driven biased spin-boson system. The amplitude and the phase of the nonlinear response function vs temperature are studied in the incoherent and coherent tunneling regimes, encompassing adiabatic and nonadiabatic driving, weak and strong Ohmic coupling a. For a 1y2 we present exact QSR results. As a general feature, a principal m...

Adiabatic Quantum Search in Open Systems.

Adiabatic quantum algorithms represent a promising approach to universal quantum computation. In isolated systems, a key limitation to such algorithms is the presence of avoided level crossings, where gaps become extremely small. In open quantum systems, the fundamental robustness of adiabatic algorithms remains unresolved. Here, we study the dynamics near an avoided level crossing associated w...

Control landscapes for two-level open quantum systems

A quantum control landscape is defined as the physical objective as a function of the control variables. In this paper the control landscapes for two-level open quantum systems, whose evolution is described by general completely positive trace preserving maps (i.e., Kraus maps), are investigated in details. The objective function, which is the expectation value of a target system operator, is d...
